Today we live in the antithesis of what literary heroes like Ray Bradbury and George Orwell imagined. Knowledge is hidden in plain sight beneath false claims and the shadow of partisanism. Today the news more closely resembles the restaurant industry than anything else. People order the Fox special with a side of Breitbart. If you lean more to left then you probably enjoy daily servings of CNN or MSNBC. The news we see is dictated by profits and viewers. It’s a popularity contest. This is what the Black Archive refuses to be. The Black Archive will contain articles that merely present the facts. It may be old fashioned, but we believe people should still have to think to achieve a reasonable conclusion. The articles will only rely on sources that can be confirmed. If it can’t be traced to the source, it won’t show up. Our stories will most likely not be what you see on evening prime time. It will be quality information that affects you, not the latest reality episode starring the American government. Ratings and profit margins don’t matter, every article will be free to read and you won’t see any distracting ads. The Black Archive is built on the promise that the sole purpose of each and every article is to provide people with more information to further meaningful discussions on the state of the world we live in. The only way to improve is to recognize our flaws and accept responsibility.
